History’s handsome gift creates stylish, eternal furniture that has will last forever.

Hundreds of years ago, lumberjacks from France and England were dispatched to the forests of North America's Great Lakes. Their mission: to supply logs for shipbuilding and the homes of Europe's nobility.

After cutting the trees, the logs were shipped eastward on log rafts, many of which broke up on the journey losing up to one-third to the water's bottom. Perfectly preserved under the floor of these waters, the centuries old virgin timbers possess unique figure and graining qualities impossible to duplicate with today's common woods.

Current salvage and recovery techniques make it possible to retrieve this virtually extinct wood and create beautiful furniture with finishes not seen for centuries.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

Because this virgin timber growth is salvaged and environmentally friendly, Forest Reflections can be used to achieve LEED* points for environmental concerns.
